Rishabh Pant is one of the most talked about youngsters in Indian cricket. When he was fit and available for selection, there was constantly this chatter to back him in all formats of the game given the rich talent that he possesses. However, since his accident in December last year, everyone has been keeping a key eye on his recovery as they want him back on the cricket field and in the national side. While he has already missed a few crucial cricketing assignments, it is unlikely that he will get to be a part of the ODI World Cup later this year.

Despite reports of the wicketkeeper-batter making a swift recovery, he is still time away from regaining complete match fitness. His Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) have now shared a video in which he can be seen performing stretches in rehabilitation. While such videos are encouraging, given how serious the accident was, they also reveal that he is not going to make a comeback on the field anytime soon.

"Can't wait to see you roar again, Rishabh," the stumper's franchise wrote while sharing the video.

While Pant is the designated captain of the DC side, this year he wasn't available as he was recovering from the injuries he sustained in the near-fatal car crash. In his absence, Delhi appointed David Warner as the skipper. However, the team failed to have a memorable outing and finished ninth on the ten-team table with 10 points from 14 matches.

DC recently parted ways with two of their asssitant coaches, a month after the conclusion of the tournament. On Thursday (June 29), DC thanked Ajit Agarkar and Shane Watson for their services. "You’ll always have a place to call home here 💙 Thank You, Ajit and Watto, for your contributions. All the very best for your future endeavours 🙌," the team tweeted.
