Sanju Samson Out Or Not Out? Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was deemed out in the 16th over of their 222 run-chase at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Samson, looking for the big hit against Mukesh Kumar, seemed to have found the fielder with Shai Hope taking the catch near the boundary ropes.
The on-field umpires KN Ananthapadmanabhan and Ulhas Gandhe were not too sure whether the catch had been taken cleanly and consulted TV umpire Michael Gough for the catch. Even though a few angles showed that Hope might have been in contact of the ropes when he took the catch, there did not seem to be clear evidence of the fact that Samson was out. Gough, however, felt otherwise and adjudicated Samson to be out.
