RR vs RCB Highlights, IPL 2024 Eliminator: Rajasthan Royals (RR) handed a 4-wicket defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2024 Eliminator at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (May 22). RR's win has set up their clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai in Qualifier 2. RR won the toss and elected to field first before managing to restrict RCB to 172/8 in their 20 overs.

Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers for RR. The off-spinner delivered when it mattered the most and conceded only 19 runs off his 4 overs, while picking up 2 wickets. Trent Boult's opening spell was sensational too as the left-arm speedster eventually returned with figures of 1/16.

Avesh Khan did pick up 3 wickets but conceded 44 runs off his 4 overs. Sandeep Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal were also amongst the wickets. Rajat Patidar top-scored for RCB with 34 off 22 while Mahipal Lomror (32 off 17) and Virat Kohli (33 off 24) also chipped in with useful contributions.

In the run chase, Rajasthan did lose wickets but eventually got to their target with 6 balls to spare. Yashasvi Jaiswal might have scored 45 off 30 upfront but it needed a special knock from Riyan Parag (36 off 26), Shimron Hetmyer (26 off 14) and a calming finish from Rovman Powell (16* off 8) to take the inaugural champions over the line.

At one stage looked it looked like it could be a tensed finish with RCB taking a few wickets in quick succession, losing Dhruv Jurel to a brilliant run out affeted by Kohli in the deep.
