Indian batting icon Virat Kohli was central to multiple tense situations in recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday (May 1). It wasn't pleasant to see Virat, one of the finest cricketers of all time, involved in multiple locations, be it with LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq or his former Indian teammate Gautam Gambhir. The tense moments which unfolded between Virat and others took the sheen away from RCB's memorable win in the low-scoring thriller.

Apart from these banters and heated exchanges, Virat Kohli was also central to a heartwarming moment as he and Mohammed Siraj checked in on injured KL Rahul after the match got over. The video of the same has gone viral on the internet.

Lucknow Super Giants failed to chase down a meagre total of 126 as Royal Challengers Bangalore bowled out the hosts for just 108 in 19.5 overs. Kl Rahul came out to bat at No. 11, facing only three balls without scoring any runs. He sustained a serious hamstring injury while fielding against RCB.

The extent of Rahul's injury is yet to be ascertained but as per a report in Cricbuzz, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to take complete hold of LSG skipper's injury case from the franchise. Rahul will most likely miss Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings IPL 2023 match on Wednesday (May 3) and his participation in future IPL matches now depends on him getting clearance from BCCI and National Cricket Academy (NCA).
