The 13th edition of the much-loved IPL 2020 is set to take place from September 19 onwards. The blockbuster tournament opener will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI). The biggest factor that helped the authorities conduct IPL 13 is the promise of safety inside the bio-secure bubbles where the players of all the eight franchises have their living facilities and cricket grounds as well.

Ensuring protection against the pandemic is a big challenge and that's why Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have decided to set up a special custom-made gaming room consisting of things like a pool table, TT table, F1 Simulator and many other games for its players, support staff and officials, in order to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed as much as possible at their team hotel in Dubai .

However, UAE witnessing a steady rise in the number of Covid-19 cases has become a reason of worry for all eight teams participating in the  53-day tournament. BCCI faced the first major blow after two Chennai Super Kings players and 12 staff members tested positive for the dreaded Coronavirus.

Second shocker for the BCCI came after Delhi Capitals Assistant Physiotherapist tested positive for Covid-19 after which he was isolated immediately. A media release by the franchise confirmed that he was yet to meet with, and had not been in contact with any players or staff of the franchise.

BCCI boss Sourav Ganguly exclusively told ABP News that he is visiting Dubai on September 8 to make sure that all SOPs are being followed.
