MI IPL 2025 Retention: The suspense regarding Rohit Sharma's future in the IPL is over. Mumbai Indians (MI) have announced the list of players they will be retaining ahead of the IPL 2025 auction with the franchise naming both Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya in their list of retained players.
While they retained Jasprit Bumrah for Rs 18 crore, they have bagged Suryakumar Yadav for Rs 16.35 crore. They have opted to keep Hardik for Rs 16.35 crore while handing Rohit a sum of Rs 16.3 Crore. Tilak Varma remains their fifth pick at Rs 8 crore. While there were speculation that Rohit could part ways with the franchise as it turns out both Rohit and Hardik have remained put at the franchise.
"We are thrilled that the strong legacy of MI will be carried forward by Jasprit, Surya, Hardik, Rohit and Tilak - players who have become synonymous with our team and the brand of cricket we stand for," Team Owner Akash Ambani said.
