LSG have plenty to contemplate, including concerns surrounding their pace sensation Mayank Yadav who suffered a side strain during their game against Gujarat Titans and as a result, has been sidelined from the competition ever since.


Mayank Yadav has emerged as a standout performer for LSG in the IPL 2024 season, delivering a sensational match-winning performance on his debut. He showcased his talent by bowling the fastest delivery of the IPL 2024, clocking in at 156.7 kmph, and followed it up with another impressive three-wicket haul that led his team to victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).


Lance Klusener Gives Update On Mayank Yadav


Before the LSG vs CSK match, Lance Klusener, the assistant coach of LSG, shared a significant fitness update regarding Mayank and the potential timing of his return.


“I am not sure regarding his participation in tomorrow's match against Chennai. He has been bowling in the nets but his fitness is our priority. But can't say anything regarding his participation,” Klusener said on the eve of the LSG vs CSK match as per IANS.


Previously, LSG shared a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) showcasing Mayank Yadav bowling at the nets ahead of the highly anticipated clash against Chennai Super Kings.

Coming to the LSG vs CSK IPL 2024 match, LSG are in dire need of win as they enter the match having lost three matches in their six outings in the IPL 2024. Two of those were in their last two fixtures. They are positioned fifth in the IPL 2024 points table and would like to break into the top four very soon. CSK, on the other hand, have played six matches and have won four of them. They will enter the contest on the back of a 20-run victory over Mumbai Indians in their last match.
