Harry Brook is one of the finest young talents in the cricketing world currently. Ever since he made his debut for England, he made four centuries in Test cricket, and also got an IPL contract. In the upcoming season of IPL, he will be representing Sunrisers Hyderabad for a massive amount of Rs 13.25 crore in the auction.

According to Brook, IPL is the best franchise cricket tournament in the world.

“It’s the best franchise competition in the world,” he told ESPNCricinfo.

“Everyone wants to play in it. There are a lot of good players there, and hopefully, I get some opportunities to express how I’m playing at the minute – and show the world I’m capable of scoring runs anywhere.”

After becoming a part of IPL 2023, Brook is looking to accomplish all his childhood memories including meeting Brian Lara, facing Muthiah Muralidaran, and playing Dale Steyn in the nets.

“Brian Lara is a legend of the game… I used to love watching him when I was younger,” he said.

Earlier, the England-based player broke the record which was held by Vinod Kambli for most runs in the first nine Test innings (809 to Kambli’s 798). He also won his maiden ICC Men’s Player of the Month award post a brilliant string of scores that helped England claim a historic World Test Championship (WTC) series victory in Pakistan.

“I’m very lucky to have come into this Test side,” Brook said.

“The way we’re trying to play, the positive brand of cricket we’re trying to play to entertain the crowd – it suits my game more than any, really.”

In the first match of the Indian Premier League 2023, MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be playing against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the first match which is scheduled to take place on March 31.
