Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul headline the list of 12 marquee players released by their teams ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Auction, set to take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Among the marquee players are seven Indians, with Iyer, Pant, and Arshdeep Singh featured in the first set, while Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Kl Rahul and Mohammed Siraj form the second set.

The marquee list also includes five international stars: Mitchell Starc, most expensive player in IPL auction history, England's white-ball captain Jos Buttler, all-rounder Liam Livingstone, South African star batter David Miller, and premier pacer Kagiso Rabada.
Each marquee player has set a base price of INR 2 crore. Each franchise is expected to secure at least two big names from the marquee list.
Marquee sets in auction are to highlight top talent available. It's not uncommon for a mega-auction to feature two sets of marquee players. While the 2022 IPL auction had only one marquee list, both the 2018 and 2014 auctions included two separate sets of elite players.
In the 2018 auction, 16 marquee players were split into two sets, while 2022 mega auction had a single set of 10 marquee players.
