New Delhi: The mega auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will be held on February 12 and 13. Along with cricket fans, all the franchise teams are eagerly waiting for the IPL auction. This time 10 teams are participating instead of eight.


Here are some all-rounders who could end up being the biggest buys in the upcoming auction:


Washington Sundar


Washington Sundar is one of the best players of Team India. Although he does not have much experience in international matches yet. But he has performed exceptionally well on many occasions in IPL. The Left-handed batsman and Right-arm off-spinner have conceded runs at an economy rate of 6.93 in 42 matches of IPL. Along with this, he has performed well through his bat. Sundar has scored a total of 217 runs in IPL matches.


Jason Holder 


In IPL 2020, West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder took 14 wickets in 7 matches. In the last season too, he has scalped 16 wickets. He has recently performed well in the ODI series against India. Whereas earlier in the 5-match T20 series against England, he took 15 wickets at a bowling average of 7.4. 


James Neesham 


New Zealand's James Neesham had led the team to victory based on his explosive innings in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. While batting at the lower order, he played more innings in the tournament. Along with this, Neesham also kept on collecting wickets in every match. He has been impressive on several occasions in the T20 format. Therefore, he can get a good price in the upcoming IPL auction.


This time, the 10 teams will battle among themselves to fill the 227 spots they have left from those selected 590 cricketers. Each team can have a maximum number of 25 players in their squad and no less than 18.


Of the 590 cricketers, there are 228 capped and 355 uncapped players. Apart from these, 7 players are also from associate countries. 370 Indian players are participating in the auction, while the total number of foreign players is 220. 47 players from Australia have got the maximum number of foreign players. After this, the number of countries like West Indies (34) and South Africa (33) comes.
