IPL Auction 2021 News: The Auction 2021 came as a surprise for many players. Some like Richardson and Jamieson became millionaires overnight, while some Indian players also got their due. One such player was Tamil Nadu’s Shahrukh Khan. He is a middle order batsman who can hit the ball a long way. He played very well in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and thus all eyes were on the youngster before the IPL Auction 2021. Shahrukh Khan was picked by Punjab Kings for a whopping 5.25 crore rupees.

 

When his name came up during the Auction, the entire Tamil Nadu team was together in a bus and was watching the live proceedings on their phones. They were thrilled to see their teammate do so well at the Auctions. The entire team started applauding as the price started going up.

It will be interesting to see how Shahrukh Khan performs for the Punjab Kings as a lot of expectations would be there on his shoulders. It will be a great learning curve for the young man as he would be playing with the likes of Chris Gayle.
