IPL 2024 Updated Points Table: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) vs Gujarat Titans (GT), match 66th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2024 on May 16 got abandoned without a bowl being bowled as Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium experienced continuous rain. The points were shared between Pat Cummins-led SRH and Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans. With this, SRH became the third team in the IPL 2024 to qualify for the playoffs. GT, on the other side, had already been knocked out of the tournament.
SRH, with seven matches in 13 matches, with one being a no result, have 15 points and are placed third in the IPL 2024 points table. Prior to the SRH vs GT match, SRH had it in their hands to finish in the top two, as wins in two remaining matches would have most likely guaranteed their place in the top-two in the IPL 2024 points table. However, with the match being washed out and points being shared, SRH need Rajasthan Royals to lose their last match and need to win their last match to finish in the top-two.
