Keshav Maharaj To Make Much-Awaited IPL Debut
Keshav Maharaj has lately been amongst the favourite overseas player in India, as the Proteas veteran has shown his religious antics on the pitch, which have won hearts of the fans from the peninsular nation of India. Recently, Indian legend Virat Kohli created a wholesome moment during the South Africa Vs India Test series, when the batter started doing the 'Ram-Ban' (Dhanush Pose) celebration once Keshav Maharaj stepped on the pitch to bat, as the devotional song of Lord Ram started playing in the background.
Keshav Maharaj is a huge devotee of Lord Ram and always thanks the god with his unique celebrations on the pitch and the Indian fans absolutely adore the South African. Now with him joining Rajasthan Royals, there is a good amount of chance that the player can see a good amount of fanfare coming in.
In terms of cricketing quality, Keshav Maharaj is a proven veteran of the game and is quite good in the shortest format of the game, with him scalping 15 wickets in 13 innings for the Durban Super Giants in the recently concluded SA20 League 2024.
