Gujarat, in their last league stage game at home, attained a 34-run win over Hyderabad, ensuring a top-two finish. While GT pacers Mohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami continued their impressive form with the white ball, Shubman Gill became first ever GT player to score a ton in Indian Premier League (IPL) history.

After defeat against defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 15, Sunrisers Hyderabad became the second team after Delhi Capitals to get knocked out of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The other teams still have a solid chance of ending up in the top four by the end of IPL 2023 league stage games.
IPL 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians on Tuesday (May 16) is crucial for Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings. CSK will be hoping for MI to lose against LSG. Lucknow's win over MI will help CSK remain in top two in IPL 2023 Points Table. CSK star Devon Conway (498 runs) is on 4th position. MI's Suryakumar acquires 5th spot with 479 runs.

GT star Mohammed Shami, at present, in the Purple Cap holder with 23 wickets. At number 2 is another GT star, Rashid Khan, who has the same number of wickets as Shami but the pacer holds number 1 spot due to a better economy rate. RR's Yuzvendra Chahal is at number three with 21 wickets.
