Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday launched their new jersey for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. SRH took to their social media handle to unveil their new jersey. The Hyderabad-based franchise will kick start their IPL 2023 campaign on April 2 against Rajasthan Royals on their home soil at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.










In the last edition of IPL, SRH finished at the eighth position in the points table. They won six games and lost eight matches and gained a total of 12 points. As a result, they could not make it to the playoffs. Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad named South African batsman Aiden Markram as their skipper for the season.  The franchise that is owned by Kaviya Maran-owned took to Twitter and said,” THE. WAIT. IS. OVER. #OrangeArmy, say hello to our new captain Aiden Markram.”






Under the captaincy of Markram,  Sunrisers Eastern Cape clinched the inaugural SA20 title. He scored 336 runs and also scalped  11 wickets in the tournament. The South Africa batter also had a great IPL season last year where he got 381 runs at an average of 47.63.


Last year December, the SRH management appointed West Indies legend Brian Lara as the head coach ahead of the IPL auction. In the auction, they made some crucial buys with Harry Brook being the most expensive buy. Brook was roped in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for a whopping amount of INR 13.25 crore.
