IPL 2023, Delhi vs Gujarat Highlights: 'Clinical' Gujarat Titans (GT) handed home team Delhi Capitals (DC) their 2nd loss in a row in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on a spicy Feroz Shah Kotla track, Tuesday (April 4). Another all-round performance from defending champions Gujarat helped them attain a 6-wicket win over 'Rishabh Pant-less' Delhi.

With Gujarat needing to chase 163 for the win, the game was in balance at 54/3 and that's when 21-year-old Sai Sudharsan forged a solid 53-run stand with Vijay Shankar (Impact Player) to keep the scoreboard ticking. Marsh broke this partnership to give Delhi a hope of a miraculous win but David Miller (16-ball 31) hammered two sixes and a four in the 16th over to ensure GT's 2nd win in a row. Sai Sudharsan was solid at one end, notched up his second IPL fifty, remained not out till the end as Gujarat chased down the target with 11 balls remaining.

Earlier, fine spells from star spinner Rashid Khan (3/31) and fiery pace duo of Mohammed Shami (3/41) and Alzarri Joseph (2/29) kept the home team's batters under check as they restricted Delhi Capitals to a below-par 162/8. The top-scorer for Delhi Capitals was David Warner (37 runs off 32 balls). Notably, the Australian great had literally played and missed during the first few overs.

At one point in the match, even 150 looked a distant reality for Delhi. However, Axar Patel (36 runs off 22 balls) produced a fiery cameo in the last few overs of Delhi's innings to push his team past the competitive 160-mark.

Brief Scores: Delhi Capitals 162/8; 20 overs (David Warner 37, Sarfaraz Khan 30; Mohammed Shami 3/41, Rashid Khan 3/31, Alzarri Joseph 2/29) vs Gujarat Titans.
