The viral video is reportedly from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) IPL 2023 match on Wednesday (May 3) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The viral video shows a group of Virat Kohli fans taunting Gautam Gambhir with 'Kohli, Kohli' chants when he was climbing up the dressing room stairs. In reaction, Gambhir stood there for a few seconds, stared at the fans before entering the dressing room.

In the aftermath of the incident, Indian Premier League (IPL) organisers slammed Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir with hefty fines, asking the cricketing stalwarts to pay 100 percent of their match fee.
Cricketing rivalry between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli dates back to 2013 season of Indian Premier League (IPL) when they both locked horns for the first time in public, at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Back then, Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Virat captained Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
