The high-octane IPL 2023 tournament opener will be played between four-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK), captained by MS Dhoni and defending champions Gujarat Titans, led by star all-rounder Hardik Pandya. However, ahead of  CSK vs GT IPL 2023 blockbuster clash, venue of this match - city of Ahmedabad - witnessed heavy drizzle on the Thursday (March 30) evening after which both CSK and GT were forced to cancel their practice sessions. The sudden downpour led to rumors that rain might hamper Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans IPL 2023 match on Friday (March 31).

Will rain affect Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings (CSJ vs GT) IPL 2023 match in Ahmedabad on Friday?


In what comes as a huge relief for fans, CSK vs GT IPL 2023 match won't be affected by rain. As per Weather.com, sky will remain clear on evening of March 31 (Friday). Temperatures can hover around 22-33 degree celsius. Wind speed is expected to be around 13-18 km/hr. 


IPL 2023 will open with much-awaited clash between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings on Friday. Before this match, IPL 2023 Opening ceremony will be organized, in which likes of singer Arijit Singh, actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna will set the Ahmedabad crowd on fire.

Notably, both CSK and GT are set to miss services of their several key players in tonight's tournament opener.
