IPL 2022 Players Retention LIVE: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Mega-Auction will be held next month. Before that, the IPL franchises were given a deadline to choose a maximum of four players that they want to retain for the next season.

Teams could pick a maximum of three Indian players and two overseas players. The deadline was set at 12 pm on Tuesday. 

As per ESPNCricinfo, Indian superstars Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah have been retained by their official franchises. This is not a confirmed report as of yet. There are expected to be some surprises in the retention as each franchise is only allowed to retain a maximum of four players.
