A total of 590 players have been listed for the upcoming Mega-Auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The list of players was released on IPL.com for the Auction that is set to take place on February 12 and 13 2022.


The 15th season of IPL will have 10 teams competing for the trophy. Lucknow Supergiants and Ahmedabad's team will be added to the already existing eight teams.

"Amongst 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations," said BCCI secretary Jay Shah in a statement. 


"A total of 370 Indian players and 220 overseas players will be up for grabs in what promises to be an action-packed IPL 2022 Player Auction in Bengaluru," the statement read further. 






Punjab Kings will enter the Auction with the most money in their kitty - 72 crore. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, are remaining with 47.5 crore, which is the least amount of money remaining with any franchise for Mega-Auction. 


There are 47 players from Australia on the list, while 34 are from West Indies. These two countries have the most number of players enrolled in the IPL Auction 2022.

Earlier, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed that homegrown business conglomerates TATA will replace Chinese mobile manufacturer VIVO as the main sponsor for the upcoming edition of the tournament.
