After playing a crucial role in securing an important win against Mumbai Indians on Saturday, Harshal Patel of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has left the bio bubble in haste as he lost his sister.

According to various reports, the 31-year-old bowler left the team bubble in Pune right after the RCB vs MI match after he got to know about the death of his sister. The bowler from Gujarat, who was the highest wicket-taker in the 2021 season of IPL has been a constant for RCB over a period of two years. Even on Saturday, he picked 2 wickets and age away 23 runs in 4 overs.

"Unfortunately, Harshal had to leave the bio-bubble due to a death in his family. It was his sister. He did not take the team bus back to Mumbai from Pune," PTI reported quoting an IPL source. Patel hails from Sanad in Gujarat.

This news came as a shock for fans and players, alike, but the question remains about when will Patel join the RCB now?

As per reports, Harshal Patel will be available for the next game that the RCB play against Ravindra Jadeja-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK). "He will be rejoining the bubble before the next game against CSK on April 12," the PTI source said

After clinical spells from Hasaranga and Harshal Patel RCB restricted Mumbai to 151 runs, Virat Kohli (36-ball 48) and Anuj Rawat (47-ball 66) helped them chase down the target inside 19 overs.
