New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) managed to win their IPL 2021 encounter against Delhi Capitals (DC) by three wickets in a tough match on Tuesday. With this win, KKR remains in playoff contention. KKR captain Eoin Morgan expressed happiness over his team's performance.

Morgan said the decision to field was not easy for him. "It's difficult to play two matches in three days but it's a pleasure to score two points," the KKR captain said.

"Both teams played tough cricket. Things can get out of your hands in the middle of the heat. Thankfully, it didn't happen,'' Morgan said.

Credit To McCullum

Eoin Morgan gave credit to coach Brendon McCullum for the victory against DC. Morgan said, "We have changed our way of playing. McCullum has worked on the strategy and as a result, we have been able to get back to the path of victory.''

Knight Riders, who have won three of the four matches since the IPL 2021 restarted in UAE, have consolidated their position in the points table.

KKR are fourth with 10 points in 11 matches. KKR's Net Run Rate (NRR) is also much better so if it manages to win two of the three matches, it is likely to make it to the play-offs.
