IPL 2021: Three England players Chris Woakes, Jonny Bairstow and David Malan have withdrawn their names from the second part of IPL season 14. The England players' decision comes at a time when IPL 14 is just a week away from commencing again. The teams are extremely angry with such behaviour by the England players. Not only that, but one franchise has also written to the BCCI seeking its intervention in the matter.

Chris Woakes was part of the Delhi Capitals, while Jonny Bairstow was seen playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The players have decided to withdraw from IPL after the Manchester Test between India and England was cancelled. This kind of attitude shown by the England players is also being seen as resentment towards India.

A franchise claimed that the England player had previously reported as being available. "The franchise spoke to their player and informed that he was available in England on September 15," the Insight Sports report said. But on Saturday the team was told that the player was not available for IPL. This behaviour is not appropriate and this has been communicated to BCCI.''

Sam and Moeen to take part

An official associated with the franchise has termed the behaviour of England players as irresponsible. The official, on condition of anonymity, said he sees the behaviour of England players as against the contract.

However, some England players, have also decided to play in the IPL. Players like Sam Curran, Moeen Ali and Livingston have left England for UAE. These players are expected to join their teams in the UAE on Sunday.
