IPL 2020: 'Those Things Hurt You', Kohli Criticizes His Fielders For Dropping Catches After RCB Defeat Against DC
The match witnessed Yuzvendra Chahal drop crucial catches of Marcus Stoinis a couple of times, which enabled him to score a half-century leading to Delhi Capitals’ victory over RCB.
IPL 2020: After Royal Challengers Bangalore’s rout at the hands of Delhi Capitals in Monday night’s IPL match, RCB skipper Virat Kohli blamed poor fielding, dropped catches and his bowlers. The match witnessed Yuzvendra Chahal drop crucial catches of Marcus Stoinis a couple of times, which enabled him to score a half-century leading to Delhi Capitals’ victory.

"Those important chances in between we need to grab when the opportunity comes our way, it is not like we are dropping half chances; we are dropping sitters and those things hurt you,” said Kohli.
“ The execution with the ball towards the end could have been better and with the bat as well. Not a complete performance in any regard today," he added.

"I think they got off to a great start in the first six then we pulled it back in the next eight overs and the last phase again got away from us," he said.
However, it is to be noted that Kohli himself had dropped KL Rahul twice in RCB's loss to Kings XI Punjab earlier in the tournament. RCB have won three of their five matches. However, both their losses have come while chasing big targets.
Kohli stressed that it is about rectifying “those small mistakes”. The conversation around chasing is always to have a big partnership, with the dew setting in, had we kept 7-8 wickets at the end of 10 overs, the game would have been on," Kohli said.
