The performance of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2020 has been very poor. MS Dhoni's CSK is currently placed at the bottom of the IPL 2020 points table. The star batsmen and bowlers of Chennai have disappointed with their poor form this season and that is why the team is performing so poorly.

However, Chennai's star opener Faf du Plessis has definitely shown his mettle this season. The former South Africa captain is the highest run-scorer for CSK and has scored 375 runs in IPL 2020 at an average of 46.87, that includes four fifties. Du Plessis's fans and his wife Imari are very happy with his performance in the current season.

Faf du Plessis Announces He Wants To Step Down As The Captain Of South African Cricket Team

In what came as a shocker for everyone in the month of February this year, Plessis had announced he is stepping down as South Africa captain from all formats, citing "the need to facilitate the emergence of next generation of leaders".

"When I took over the leadership, I did so with the commitment to lead, perform and most importantly, to serve. As the team heads into a new direction with new leaders and a young crop of players, I feel it will be in the best interests of South African cricket to relinquish the captaincy in all formats,"said du Plessis in a statement.
