It was Ghosh who tried to power the full toss out of the ground but only manage to sky it. It's taken at cover. RCB-129/5 after 16 overs.
Georgia Wareham, Richa Ghosh With A Flurry of Boundaries in the innings but one feels it would yield them no result as the asking rate is a daunting task at this stage.
And there's another wicket. It's the big scalp of Ellyse Perry who departs for 24 off 23. Tried the reverse paddle off Bryce but only manages an edge.
12 overs bowled. RCB- 88/3. Need 112 from 48 balls. Game skipping away from them.
Richa Ghosh The New Batter for Bangalore. She joins Perry.
GG tightening the screws now as Bangalore lose another wicket. Kanwar cleans up Sophie Devine who falls for 23 off 16. RCB- 76/3 after 10.1 Overs.
Devine Joins Perry in the middle. Crucial partnership this for Bangalore.
It's getting bad to worse for RCB. Second one goes down as S Meghana gets run out. She decides to come back for the second but is out by yards. RCB- 42/2 after 6.2 Overs.
RCB: 39/1. Trailing behind in the required run rate after GG.
Ellyse Perry In At 3 for Bangalore. RCB need her to score big if they are to chase this score.
And there's the wicket! Gardner traps Mandhana lbw. Massive wicket given the form she was in. Goes for the pull but misses and umpire raises the finger. She falls for 24 off 16, also wasting a review in the process. RCB- 31/1 after 4.1 Overs.
Bryce completes a tidy over. RCB: 31/0 after 4 overs.
Tanuja Kanwar brought in early 7 came off the first two overs but the left-arm spinner has been taken for 17 off her first. Mandhana smashing her for 6, 6, 4 off successive deliveries.
RCB openers are S Meghana and Smriti Mandhana as they attempt to chase down 200. Ashleigh Gardner, Kathryn Bryce started with ball in hand for GG.
Gujarat fall short of 200. Would you believe it? GG- 199/5 after 20 overs despite being 140/1 in 13 overs after that record stand between Mooney and Woldvaardt But chasing 200 won't be an easy task either. Stay tuned for the second innings!
Molineux gets rid of Dayalan Hemalatha out stumped. What drama and GG still need 5 to get to the 200-run mark which looked almost until a few overs ago. That is what you call T20 cricket.
Last over to go then. 19 overs bowled and GG are 195/3. 8 runs, 2 wickets from that over.
First ball duck for Ashleigh Gardner who gets caught at long off. GG- 192/3 after 18.4 Overs. Excellent comeback this for RCB. If it does go down to the wire, this passage of play could come back to haunt GG.
The second run-out in the innings! Phoebe Litchfield falls for 18 off 17, not quite batting at the tempo which was set.
Wareham Bowling The Penultimate Over of the innings. Exciting stuff this at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Mooney in her 80s. Can she get to a hundred?
12 Legal deliveries remaining in this innings. GG- 187/1 after 18 overs. How many more can they add? Surely a good last two overs from RCB to pull thins back a little bit.
Renuka Singh will bowl out. 18th over of the innings.
7 runs coming off the 17th over. Better from RCB's perspective but GG still looking at over 200 for sure. Plus Bangalore have lost all their reviews for nothing.
15 Off The Over then. After 16 overs, GG- 170/1.
First six of the innings from Mooney. She picked her spot early on that occasion and deposited it over the leg side fence for her first six. Pressure on RCB! GG past 160 already.
9 runs coming off the 14th over. GG- 149/1 after 14 overs.
Phoebe Litchfield comes in at 3. She joins Mooney. Devine into the attack.
And finally a wicket! It's a run out eventually that breaks the 140-run record stand between Mooney and Wolvaardt. Great innings for Laura Wolvaardt who goes back for 76 off 45 balls but fails to make her ground despite a dive on the last ball of the over. Work from Bisht the fielder and Ghosh with the gloves to hand RCB their first breakthrough. GG-140/1 after 13 overs.
And now it's Mooney's time to soak in the applause. This has been a great innings and a vital stand for GG. Mooney gets to the landmark off 32 deliveries as well in the 13th over.
Ekta Bisht comes in for a second over. But no luck for her as yet. What's more, there is a misfield which goes for four and a touch of class from Wolvaardt for another boundary. Mooney then finds the third boundary in the over. Wow! Pure dominance this by the Gujarat batters. 16 runs off the over. GG- 134/0 after 12 overs.
Georgia Wareham came for a second over but not much success there either for RCB. Four each from the bat of Wolvaardt and Mooney! Some great placement and timing throughout this innings so far. 14 came off the over. After 11 overs, GG- 118/0.
Gujarat's First-Ever 100-Run Stand in WPL. It has come with their backs against the wall.
We are halfway through the innings and GG are 104/0 after three fours in a row from Wolvaardt helped the side fetch 15 runs off the 10th over.
Potentially season transforming half-century for Wolvaardt. What an innings this and still going strong. Gets there off 32 balls in the 10th over of the innings! Don't write of GG as yet, she says with this knock.
Some Attacking Display This by the GG duo. After 8 overs, they are Gujarat are 78/0. Gujarat eyeing a massive first innings score here, probably what they needed to change their fortunes in WPL 2024. Laura Wolvaardt- 37* off 21, Beth Mooney- 32* off 21.
A powerplay that belonged to GG. Their best-ever opening stand in WPL history already by some distance as they end the fielding restrictions at 59/0. Beth Mooney- 19* off 14, Laura Wolvaardt- 32* off 22. Game on here in Delhi then!
Spin Into The Attack as Sophie Molineux was introduced but this is a terrific intent from the GG batters. Wolvaardt and Mooney find a boundary each off the over to fetch 13 runs off the over. After 3 overs, GG- 38/0.
Another eventful over. A missed run out chance, 5 wides. Overall 12 coming off it but no wickets lost for Gujarat. GG- 25/0 after 2 overs.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the GG vs RCB WPL 2024 fixture. The Gujarat Giants have won the toss and elected to bat first in New Delhi.
Background
WPL 2024, GG vs RCB SCORE LIVE: Gujarat Giants (GG) will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match number 12 of Women's Premier League at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. While Gujarat currently find themselves at the bottom of the points table and are yet to get off the mark on the table with 0 wins from 4 matches, Bangalore are having a much-improved season after 3 wins from 5 games and currently sit at the second place on the table behind Delhi Capitals who have 8 points and tied on points with Mumbai Indians but with a better net run rate (NRR).
All in all this looks set to be a humdinger of a clash with Gujarat desperate for a win and Bangalore well aware that this could be a slippery slope and one defeat can quickly change into a string of defeats making the Playoff qualification equation all the more tricky.
It would also be the first match in Delhi and Gujarat would hope for a change in fortunes, especially considering the form they have had not only in this season but in this tournament as a whole. Bangalore, though, would be upbeat given the way their star players have performed so far.
Probable Playing 11s:
GG: Beth Mooney, Laura Wolvaardt, Phoebe Litchfield, Veda Krishnamurthy, Ash Gardner, Dayalan Hemalatha, Katherine Bryce, Tanuja Kanwer, Sneh Rana, Mannat Kashyap, Meghna Singh
RCB: Smriti Mandhana, S Meghana, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh, Sophie Devine, Sophie Molineux, Georgia Wareham, Simran Bahadur, Shreyanka Patil, S Asha, Renuka Thakur
