New Delhi: In what came as a big sigh of relief for Indian cricket fans, ex-Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli finally announced his return to form by scoring a half-century in his team's match against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Saturday.
Virat Kohli (58 runs off 53 balls) scored his first fifty in IPL 2022 and the year 2022 as well. Virat regained his batting form against Gujarat after a series of low scores, including two consecutive golden ducks this season. He completed his fifty off 45 balls. During this, he hit 6 boundaries and a massive six.

Meanwhile, a video has gone viral on social media in which Virat Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma was seen screaming and cheering in joy for her husband as he completed his hard-fought fifty with a single.
The ex-India skipper scored his 43rd IPL fifty today. Kohli is at number three after David Warner (52) and Shikhar Dhawan (46) in terms of scoring the most fifties in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Kohli took a total of 45 balls to reach his half-century -- one of his slowest fifties in IPL.
RCB won the toss and decided to bat first. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis came out as openers to get things started for Bangalore. After the fall of captain Faf du Plessis for a duck, Virat steadied the innings with Rajat Patidar, who completed his half-century off just 29 balls. In the end, Bangalore managed to set a 171-run target for Gujarat.
