"The Women’s T20 Challenge resumes this year and Pune will host the fourth edition of the tournament. The dates of the matches will be 23rd May, 24th May, 26th May and the Final on 28th May," he added.
Earlier, BCCI had decided to not release the schedule of the last four matches or last phase of IPL 2022 because it wanted to take a final call on the venues for the tournament's end-stage by assessing the Coronavirus situation in India.
Keeping in mind the threat of the dreaded Coronavirus, BCCI decided to organize the entire matches of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 inside a secure bio-bubble itself in Mumbai and Pune. After Covid came into existence in the year 2022, the last two seasons had to be organised in Dubai. Last year, IPL 2021's first half was held in India. Back then, BCCI was forced to host the second half of IPL 2021 in Dubai after players and support staff members started testing positive for the virus during the second wave of Covid-19 in India.
