New Delhi: Delhi Capitals (DC) all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been admitted to a hospital after testing positive for Coronavirus, ANI reported. Earlier in the day, DC had cancelled their travel to Pune where they are till now slated to play their next two IPL matches. The news comes as a big blow for BCCI as the IPL organising committee has implemented strict measures to ensure safety and well-being of players.

IPL 2022 is being played inside a secure bio-bubble, and a spike of cases inside Delhi camp has increased the tension of BCCI. Delhi is scheduled to play its next two matches against Punjab and Rajasthan on Wednesday and Friday respectively. BCCI is yet to take a final call on the postponement or cancellation of DC's future matches.






Earlier on Friday, Delhi Capitals physio Patrick Farhart had tested positive for the dreaded infection. Last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) had to be suspended midway due to Coronavirus' second wave. The second phase of the tournament was played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September-October.
