New Delhi: Fans witnessed one of the most unique scenes in Indian Premier League (IPL) history during the 30th match of IPL 2022 being played between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders, on Monday.

During the match, Rajasthan openers Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal showcased proof of their remarkable fitness and running between the wickets as the duo completed four runs off a ball by running between the wickets.

The incident took place during the third over of the innings, bowled by Umesh Yadav. Buttler played the ball in the direction of the point.

Chasing the ball, fielder Venkatesh Iyer fielded brilliantly and dived to prevent the ball from crossing the boundary ropes. In the meantime, Butler and Padikkal quickly completed 4 runs by the time Iyer threw the ball towards the wicket-keeper.

Earlier in 2017, Glenn Maxwell had completed four runs by running between the wickets, but he had taken two runs via an overthrow.

Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and decided to field first after winning the toss against Rajasthan Royals on Monday.
