New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) fast bowling sensation Umran Malik has been making a lot of headlines with his exceptional bowling in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. In Sunrisers Hyderabad's match on Sunday against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Umran failed to take any wicket but he bowled a delivery at the speed of 154 kmph in CSK's innings last over against MS Dhoni, which is so far the fastest ball of IPL 2022. The Jammu-born was brilliant with his speed but was hammered for 48 runs in his four overs.
Indian cricket team's former captain Sunil Gavaskar is also a fan of 22-year-old Umran Malik's fast bowling. The cricketer-turned-commentator came up with hilarious advice as he told the batters how to deal with Umran's remarkable pace bowling.

Speaking on Star Sports, the former great said, "Take a single and go to the non-striker's end."
"Don't give him a sight of your stumps. Cover all three stumps so that when he runs in to bowl, he has got to see where is the off stump is and where is the leg stump", he said.
Umran Malik, who took 15 wickets in 9 matches in IPL 2022, proved to be very expensive against Chennai Super Kings. He gave away 48 runs in his quota of 4 overs at an average of 12. During this he did not get a single wicket.
During the 10th over of Chennai Super Kings' innings, Umran Malik had bowled the fastest delivery of the season, 150 kmph, to Rituraj Gaikwad, but the batter hit the ball for a boundary. Umran did not stop here, he broke his own record by bowling a yorker to Dhoni at the speed of 154 kmph during the 19th over, but even on this ball he did not get a wicket and Dhoni took a single. Chennai defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs in this match.
