New Delhi: Ravindra Jadeja-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered their first win of the season by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday. Four-time IPL winners Chennai did not give RCB any chance to get the momentum as the yellow army came up with an all-around performance to attain the much-needed victory.

In reply to Chennai's mammoth 217-run target, Bangalore could only manage 193 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

For CSK, Shivam Dubey and Robin Uthappa both scored quick half-centuries as the duo shared a record partnership of 165 runs, hitting 17 sixes together. In the second innings, Chennai spinners Thikshana and Jadeja took seven wickets together. Apart from these, different players contributed significantly to the victory of CSK.

Meanwhile, an incident during the match involving Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli went viral on social media. Dhoni's remarkable experience and understanding of the game helped CSK get the crucial wicket of Virat Kohli during the match.

Dhoni was seen strategizing from behind the wicket as he laid a trap during the match to dismiss former RCB captain Virat.

Mukesh Choudhary came to bowl the fifth over against Virat. Dhoni placed a fielder at deep square leg as he knew that Virat often plays a shot towards there while facing short-pitched balls. As it turned out, Virat played a lofted pull shot off Choudhary's delivery and got caught by Shivam Dube at deep mid-wicket.
