New Delhi: Just when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans had lost all hopes on the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Ravindra Jadeja & Co. came up with one hell of a clinical performance to attain a dominating 23-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. For Chennai, Ravindra Jadeja (3/29) and Mahesh Theekshana (4/33) starred with ball.

Chennai's win against Bangalore will act as a big boost for them, especially after their strike bowler Deepak Chahar got ruled out for the entire season due to a back injury during his rehabilitation in National Cricket Academy (NCA). Also, CSK tonight ended their four-match losing streak in IPL 2022. Last time Chennai lost four matches in a row, they won their maiden IPL title.

Chennai was invited to bat first after Bangalore won the toss. The yellow army was in big trouble after losing both openers Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad early in the innings.

There was no stopping Shivam Dube (95 runs off just 46 balls) and Robin Uthappa (88 off just 50 deliveries) tonight as they hammered RCB bowlers for sixes and fours all over the park to put together a record-breaking 165 runs partnership and help Chennai post 215/5 in first innings.
