New Delhi: Rakshabandhan, the festival of love and bond between brother and sister, is celebrated with great fervor across the country. Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar is currently in United Arab Emirates (UAE) with Mumbai Indians for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Phase 2. Arjun was bagged by Mumbai Indians in this year's auction for his base price of 2 crores. However, Arjun has not got a chance to play a single match so far.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians on Sunday shared a video of the heart-warming conversation between Sara and Arjun on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. "Separated by seas, bound by the sibling bond. Presenting heartwarming #OneFamily conversations on the occasion of #RakshaBandhan," Mumbai Indians captioned the video on Twitter.
"I miss you lots. And I wish you were there to tie a Rakhi on me. And I wish I could give you a nice gift in return," Arjun told Sara during the interaction. "I know I'm waiting for my gift... Even last year you didn't give me one," Sara responded to Arjun.
Apart from Arjun, other players of Mumbai Indians are also seen in the video wishing Rakshabandhan to their sisters.
Mumbai Indians are slated to play the first match against Chennai Super Kings on September 19, in the second phase of IPL 2021.
Before the IPL was postponed in the middle of 2021, Mumbai Indians had a good performance as the team had won 4 out of 7 matches, while they were defeated in three games. In IPL 2020, Mumbai won the title for a record fifth time by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final in the UAE itself and became the second team in the history after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to defend the IPL title in Indian Premier League.
