After wreaking havoc in the recently-concluded Ind vs Eng Lord's Test, Indian cricket team's star speedster Jasprit Bumrah will have a golden opportunity to attain a special record in the India vs England 3rd Test against England at Headingley, Leeds.

Wrecker-in-chief Jasprit Bumrah is on the verge of creating history. With 5 wickets in the Leeds Test, Bumrah will become the fastest bowler for India to take 100 wickets in Test cricket. If Bumrah manages to do so, he will surpass veteran players like Kapil Dev, Venkatesh Prasad and Manoj Prabhakar.

Jasprit Bumrah has so far taken 95 wickets in 22 Test matches at an average of 22.62 and is just 5 wickets away from taking 100 wickets in Test cricket.

Kapil Dev, under whose captaincy India won the World Cup for the first time in 1983, completed 100 wickets in his 25th Test match. This means, if Bumrah is successful in getting 5 wickets in the Ind vs Eng 3rd test, he will complete his 100 Test wickets in his 23rd Test.  Bumrah will surpass Venkatesh Prasad and Manoj Prabhakar with two wickets at Leeds. Both these ex-India fast bowlers picked 96 wickets in their Test career.

Bumrah shared a crucial 89-run partnership with Mohammed Shami for the 9th wicket in the second innings of Ind vs Eng Lord's Test.  Along with this, he also made a significant contribution in wrapping up the English innings for just 120 runs.

England's batting order fell like a pack of cards after Bumrah picked the big wicket of England skipper Joe Root in the second innings. Bowling performance of Bumrah in Ind vs England 1st Test at Trent Bridge was also excellent as he had managed to bag 9 wickets.
