IPL Auction News: On Thursday, MI skipper Rohit Sharma took to social media to post a video in order to extend a welcome to the new members of Mumbai Indians.
Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians, who won IPL finals for record fifth time in IPL 2020, added some big names in their squad after the recently-concluded IPL 2021 Auction on Thursday.
These players also include name of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar. Mumbai had already retained most of its players for IPL 14, so they bought seven new players in this year's auction.

On Thursday, MI skipper Rohit Sharma took to social media to post a video in order to extend a welcome to the new members of Mumbai Indians, bagged by the franchise in IPL 2021 auction.
"Welcome to the city of heroics!" Rohit Sharma wrote in the caption his video on Instagram.

During the course of IPL 2021 Auction, Mumbai Indians spent 11.70 Crore.
The defending champions spent a lot of money on Nathan Coulter-Nile and Adam Milne . Australia's Nathan Coulter Nile was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 5 crore, while his base price was only Rs 1.5 crore.
New Zealand's Adam Milne was roped in for Rs 3.2 crores, six times his base price of Rs 50 lakhs.
Mumbai Indians have also bought leg-spinner Piyush Chawla (2.4 crore), all-rounder James Neesham (50 Lakh), Yudhveer Charak, Marco Janssen and Arjun Tendulkar (20 Lakh) for this season as they look to extend their winning streak in the cash-rich tournament.
