Two-time World Cup winning skipper and three-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Friday attained a special record against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the final match of IPL 2021.
The CSK vs KKR IPL 2021 Final is veteran MS Dhoni's 300th T20 match as captain and he has become the first captain in the world to do so. The star wicket-keeper batsman has played 300 T20 matches as captain, out of which he has won 176 matches, lost 118 and 2 games ended in a draw, while the results of three matches have not been declared. The winning percentage of MS Dhoni, the captain, is 59.79.
Dhoni has played 220 matches in IPL so far, out of which he led Chennai to clinch the IPL trophy three times. Apart from the IPL, Dhoni has captained the Indian National Cricket Team in 72 T20 matches. Team India had won the T20 World Champion for the first time in the year 2007 under Dhoni's leadership, by defeating arch-rivals Pakistan in the final.
