The quartet representing India, consisting of Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal Variyathodi, and Rajesh Ramesh, delivered a spectacular performance in heat number one. The qualifying criteria for the final involved the top three finishers from each of the two heats, along with the next two fastest teams. This format heightened the intensity of the competition.

Previously, the Asian record stood at 2:59.51, attributed to a Japanese team. The Indian team's performance not only shattered this record but also surpassed their own national record set in 2021, which was 3:00.25.

The Indian runners gave a spirited chase to the world record-holding American team, finishing in a close second place behind them. This outstanding achievement propelled India to the second position overall across both heats, trailing behind the USA. Notably, the Indian team outperformed strong competitors such as Great Britain, who secured the third spot with a time of 2:59.42, and Jamaica, who secured the fifth spot with a time of 2:59.82.

The Indian men's 4x400m relay team's exceptional performance not only secured their place in the final but also garnered attention and admiration for their remarkable display of speed, coordination, and determination on the global stage.
