New Delhi: Legendary batter Brian Lara interacted with the Indian team on Friday after their thrilling 3-run win over West Indies in the first One-Day-International of the three-match series. Team India scored 308 runs while batting first. In reply, West Indies could score 305 runs and lost the match by 3 runs in the final over. After India's thrilling win, veteran Brian Lara, who was present at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, met the Indian players in the dressing room. The video of Lara's heartwarming interaction with Indian players was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter.

Team India head coach Rahul Dravid too got a picture clicked with the cricketing legend. BCCI shared image of the legendary batting duo on their official Twitter feed. "Two Legends, One Frame," they captioned the post.






Talking about the match, Shikhar Dhawan top-scored for his team as he played brilliant innings of 97 runs in the first match of the ODI series against the West Indies.  However, he could not complete a well-deserved century. Shubman Gill scored 64 runs. While Shreyas Iyer played an innings of 54 runs. For India, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets each. India now have a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The second ODI between India and West Indies will be played on Sunday at Queen's Park Oval.
