New Delhi: Indian cricket team's star opener Rohit Sharma is set to be named the new Test captain ahead of Sri Lanka's tour of India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the selectors had declared Rohit Sharma as the regular captain of the limited overs Indian team in December and now the senior batter Sharma will also be declared the captain of the Test team before the home series against Sri Lanka.
According to a report in InsideSport, "The selectors are set to name Rohit Sharma as India's new Test captain. Rohit Sharma will make his full-time Test captaincy debut in Virat Kohli's 100th Test match." Even a report in Cricbuzz has confirmed this development.
