Senior player Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian cricket team is currently touring Sri Lanka for the limited over series. The series between India and Sri Lanka was originally to start from July 13, which has now been rescheduled and will start from July 18. Team India has played two intra-squad matches to prepare themselves for the three-match ODI and T20 International series.


After the series is rescheduled, Team India has got some more time to prepare and the players are also taking full advantage of it.

A video has been shared from the official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), in which Indian players are seen practicing batting, bowling and fielding fiercely.



Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, the Indian Test team is currently on a tour of England and for this reason many senior players are not part of India's limited overs series against Sri Lanka.


National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief and former Team India captain Rahul Dravid has accompanied Team India to Sri Lanka as a coach. Young cricketers like Devdutt Padikkal, Chetan Sakariya, Varun Chakravarthy and Rituraj Gaikwad have been included in the team for this series.


Shikhar Dhawan is the captain of the team, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the vice-captain. Talking about experienced players in the squad, apart from Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, Manish Pandey, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have been included in the team. The ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will now be played from July 18 to July 29.
