India vs Pakistan: Team India is squaring off against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday in front of a jam-packed crowd. Both teams are playing their first match in T20 World Cup 2022. This is the third time India is taking on Pakistan in a calendar year. Both teams have won a game each so far. After opting to bowl first, India were off to a dream start with young pacer Arshdeep Singh sending openers Babar Azam and Mohamad Rizwan back to the pavilion in just the second over. Pak skipper Babar was dismissed for a golden duck, while World's no. 1 T20I batter Rizwan could manage just 4 runs off 12 balls.

Senior batter Shaan Masood, who was almost ruled out of the Ind-Pak fixture, led the fightback for his team by stitching a solid 76-run partnership for third wicket with Iftikar Ahmed. Masood (42-ball 55) remained unbeaten till the end of Pakistan innings and Iftikar Ahmed scored 51 runs off 34 balls.

Pak's star performer Masood, who top-scored for Pakistan, could have been dismissed early as one of his shots off Ashwin's over went high up in the air but made contact with the spidercam. The interruption deprived India of a crucial wicket as the delivery was declared a dead ball.

Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma were visibly left furious with what had unfolded. Hardik Pandya was seen screaming angrily at the webcam. Captain Rohit too was left furious. Shaan Masood was batting on 30 when the ball hit cam.
