India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2022: Rohit Sharma-led team India confirmed its place in the Super-4s after back-to-back wins in the T20 tournament. India will now face arch-nemesis Pakistan on Sunday. Earlier in the tournament, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the group stage, due to which the confidence of the Men in Blue is extremely high. India vs Pakistan Asia Cup match is slated to be played at Dubai international cricket stadium.
India to make a change in playing XI against Pakistan.
After Ravindra Jadeja got ruled out of the Asia Cup, all eyes are now on the combination of Team India for an important clash against Pakistan. There is bound to be a change in India's playing XI after Jadeja's exit.
Meanwhile, former India pace bowler RP Singh has shared his opinion on India's playing XI. RP Singh believes Rishabh Pant should be given a chance again in India XI. The former speedster also made a big statement on KL Rahul's form.
“One of DK (Dinesh Karthik) and KL Rahul needs to be rested and Pant needs to be in the XI. Pant deserves to play. He is a match-winner, and if he performs, he can take India home,” RP Singh said during an interaction on India TV.
“In the previous game, DK didn't keep which left me a little confused. Because he kept the wickets in the first game and so he is your first-choice,” he added.
“I feel KL Rahul isn't showing much promise. When I look at his body language, it feels like he can't do anything. He needs more time. Since coming from injury, his timings and reading of match situations are a little concerning,” RP Singh said.
In the Asia Cup, KL Rahul was out on a golden duck against Pakistan, then against Hong Kong, he faced 39 balls to score 36 runs. Rahul made his return to international cricket last month in a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. However, on that tour, Rahul was able to score only 31 runs in two innings.
