Virat Kohli Changes Social Media DP To Tricolour On Eve Of Independence Day 2022
Virat will make his comeback in Asia Cup 2022, set to be held in UAE. Kohli has been included in India's 15-man squad for the tournament that starts this month from August 27.
New Delhi: The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to celebrate India's 75 years of Independence has taken the entire nation by storm. Many influencers, politicians, and celebrities are following the viral trend of changing their social media profile pictures to that of the Indian national flag. On the eve of Independence Day, ex-India captain Virat Kohli, who has been struggling to score runs in international cricket, too changed his profile picture to the tricolor.
Earlier, two-time World Cup-winning skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is rarely active on social media, had changed his Display Picture (DP) on Instagram.
Virat Kohli has been on a break ever since he played for the national team in England tour. He missed India's tour of West Indies and won't be part of Zimbabwe ODIs as well.

India's first match in the Asia Cup 2022 will be against arch-rivals Pakistan on 28th August. Kohli, who has been battling with his lean patch for a long time, won't find it easy to score runs in a high-pressure match against Pakistan.
Former cricketer Suresh Raina holds the record for most runs for India in the Asia Cup. Raina had scored 372 runs in the year 2008. Virat is second on the list of Indian batters with maximum runs in Asia Cup history. Kohli scored 357 runs in the Asia Cup 2012. However, now this tournament has changed from ODI to the T20 format. It will not be easy for Kohli to break his own record and leave Raina behind.
