Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team is preparing fiercely for the India vs New Zealand World Test Championship (WTC) Final, set to be played in Southampton from June 18. Team India players are currently under strict quarantine in Mumbai and will leave for England on June 2. Due to quarantine, Indian players, who are unable to practice on-field, are working hard on their fitness.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of team India's gym session on its Twitter handle with caption captioned, "Preps in full swing as #TeamIndia sweat it out in the gym ahead of the ICC World Test Championship final”.

In the video shared by BCCI, many players including captain Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara can be seen sweating it out in the gym.
Recently, India defeated England 3-1 in the Test series to secure their place in the finals of the World Test Championship (WTC 2021) against New Zealand.
New Zealand team has already reached England as they have to play a two-match Test series against England from June 2. Many former cricket legends believe that playing the Test series against England ahead of WTC Final will help New Zealand in strengthening their preparations. However, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said that if England manages to defeat New Zealand in the Test series, then their morale will go down considerably, which can benefit the Indian team.
Australia's fast bowler Pat Cummins believes that New Zealand's team will enjoy the conditions more than India in the current rainy season in England when the two teams lock horns in the World Test Championship (WTC) final 2021.
