New Delhi: Pakistan's Babar Azam had recently set a new record during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 being played in UAE and Oman. Pakistan's national hero Babar had surpassed Virat Kohli in terms of scoring the fastest 1000 runs in T20 cricket as a captain.

However, now Virat Kohli has an opportunity to avenge this and break a major T20 record of Babar Azam in India's 2nd match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 against New Zealand on Sunday.

Virat Kohli has currently scored fifty or more runs, 14 times as a captain in T20 International cricket. The Indian skipper had recently scored a fifty during India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match. If Virat Kohli manages to score fifty or more runs in India vs New Zealand T20 World Cup match at the Dubai International Stadium, then he will surpass Babar Azam.

Like Kohli, Babar Azam too holds the record of scoring 50 or more runs, 14 times in T20 format as a captain. Kohli, so far in his career, has scored 3216 runs from 85 innings in 91 T20 Internationals, with the help of 29 fifties.

Hardik Pandya Can Complete 100 Sixes In International Cricket

If team India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya hits four sixes in Ind vs NZ T20 World Cup match, then he will complete 100 sixes in international cricket. As soon as Pandya scores 5 runs in Ind vs NZ T20 WC match, he'll complete 500 runs in T20Is. In the Super-12 stage, India is currently ranked 5th in Group-2.
