Captain Rohit Sharma's hard-fought fifty and an impressive outing by the bowlers helped team India beat New Zealand by eight wickets in second ODI to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI was played at Raipur's Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium. Notably, the venue hosted its first-ever international game on January 21, Saturday.

As a mark of celebrating India's series-clinching win over Kiwis, a special laser light show was organized for the fans in the stadium, amid which the audience sang 'Vande Mataram', making the celebrations a memorable one. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.






The Men in Blue defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets in India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI to seal the three-match ODI series 2-0. India chased down the 109-run target in just 20.1 overs to register one of their most clinical wins in recent times after relentless pace attack from Shami and Siraj ran through a fragile New Zealand batting line-up.

Rohit Sharma returned to form by scoring an eye-catching fifty and his opening partner Gill played with a lot of composure to bat till the end of India's innings. The third and final ODI between India and New Zealand will be played in Indore on Tuesday.
