Team India's young wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has established himself as one of the key members for the national team in white-ball cricket. With Rishabh Pant being unavailable for selection, Ishan Kishan recently earned his maiden call-up in Tests and will most likely make his debut when India plays a four-match Test series against Australia at home, in February.

But before India vs Australia Test series, the wicket-keeper batter will play a three-match T20 International series between India and New Zealand. IND vs NZ 1st T20I will be played on Friday, in Ranchi, January 27. Notably, the star batter will get a chance to play in front of his home crowd in Ranchi.
Ahead of the first T20 international between India and New Zealand, BCCI posted a video on Twitter in which Ishan Kishan opened up about one of his most memorable moments.
"The one time I asked for an autograph was from MS Dhoni. When I was 18 years old and I finally saw him for the first time. It was a very memorable moment for me, and it still is. And I am proud to have his autograph on my bat," he said.
"My cricketing idol while growing up was MS Dhoni, who came from the same place and also played for Jharkhand, so I really wanted to fill his shoes, and now that I am here, I will make sure that I make my team win so many other games," he added.
Ishan Kishan, who was playing as a replacement opener in a dead rubber against Bangladesh in Chattogram, scripted history by scoring a sensational double ton (210 runs off mere 131 balls). Ishan, at 24 years and 145 days, scored the fastest double ton of all time in ODIs in just 126 balls, also becoming the youngest batter to score a double ODI ton.
