IND vs ENG semifinal: Team India entered the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals in style by defeating Zimbabwe in their last Super 12 stage match on Sunday to top the points table in Group-2. Talking about India's journey in the tournament so far, they started their campaign with a win over arch-rivals Pakistan. In their second match, India defeated Netherlands. After winning their first two games, India suffered their first T20 WC after losing to South Africa in a nail-biting thriller. The Men in Blue then bounced back by winning two consecutive matches against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, respectively.

India has not experimented much when it comes to their playing XI. Deepak Hooda replacing Axar Patel in IND vs SA match and Rishabh Pant replacing Dinesh Karthik in IND vs ZIM match are the only two changes so far.

Ravichandran Ashwin has been the first choice of Indian management when it comes to picking a spinner in India XI. Yuzvendra Chahal, one of the finest leg-spinners in current generation, is yet to play his first match in T20 World Cup 2022. Ahead of high-octane IND vs ENG semi-final match, head coach Rahul Dravid dropped a major hint regarding Chahal's inclusion in India XI.

“I think we have a completely open mind about everyone in our 15. We believe anybody who comes into the 15 will not potentially make us weaker, the kind of squad we've picked. Anybody that we need to pick will actually not make us a weaker squad. Again, we'll have to go there and see. I watched some of the games (in Adelaide) today and I know the tracks were slow and they gripped and they turned a bit,” said Dravid in the post-match press conference after the Zimbabwe game.

“We might be playing on a completely new strip in Adelaide, and the strip we played with against Bangladesh, to be honest, did not spin. It was, again, a different kind of wicket, and it was played at Adelaide, as well. I think I can't sit here now just after a game and predict what's going to happen there,” he added.
