James Anderson Becomes First Fast Bowler In The World To Bowl More Than 35,000 Balls In Test Cricket

James Anderson Record: Veteran England fast bowler James Anderson has set another world record during India vs England 2nd Test being played at the iconic Lord's cricket ground. Anderson has now become the first fast bowler in the world to bowl more than 35,000 balls in Test cricket. 

Anderson made this record during the second Test between India and England at Lord's. Three spinners have been said to have achieved this feat before Anderson. He is the first fast bowler in the world to bowl more than 35,000 balls in Test cricket and the fourth bowler overall to attain the historic milestone. 

The list also includes Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan (44,039 balls), India's Anil Kumble (40,850 balls) and Australia's Shane Warne (40,705 balls). Anderson is followed by West Indies' Courtney Walsh (30,019 balls), England's Stuart Broad (29,863) and Australia's Glenn McGrath (29,248). 

Anderson is also the world's highest wicket-taker as a fast bowler

Anderson, who made his debut against Zimbabwe at Lord's on May 22, 2003, took five wickets in the first innings of his first Test. He has been dominating Test Cricket ever since then. He also holds the record of world's highest wicket-taker as a fast bowler in Test Cricket. 

Anderson, playing his 164th Test match, has taken 621 wickets so far and is third among the highest Test Wicket-takers after Muralitharan (800) and Warne (708).
